Description
The Q-MAC HF-90
Disaster Response Package is a transportable ‘all-in-one’ HF
communications package incorporating
the Q-MAC HF-90 Transceiver. A detailed description of the Q-MAC HF-90 Transceiver,
together with technical specifications, is provided on a separate
brochure.
Along with the
HF-90 Transceiver, the package contains a variety of antennas,
power/charger systems, carry packs/cases and mounting accessories. Using the
appropriate combination of HF-90 Transceiver and accessories, the
operator will
have the ability to set up any of the following systems
❍ Manpack system (walk
and talk)
❍ Portable systems (stop and deploy) - different combinations possible
❍ Fixed vehicle system (mobile)
❍ Fixed base station system - using AC mains power
Such a package
offers full flexibility to the operator in the field, who may not know
what type of communications system is required until a disaster area
has been surveyed. Additional HF-90 Transceivers may be added to the
package as required (optional), so that a variety of systems can be
achieved simultaneously.
This package is designed
specifically for humanitarian and emergency services organisations
that must be able to deploy staff and equipment into a disaster area
within a very short time frame. The entire package is conveniently
housed in a sturdy aluminium road case with wheels, so that it may be
transported by a single person. The case also incorporates a permanent
packing list under the lid.
This allows the package to be transported to site, deployed, returned
to headquarters and then re-stocked for future use.

Options and Accessories
The following options and accessories may be purchased
separately, for use with the HF-90 Disaster Response Package:
Q-MAC
Frequency Hopping Option - Provides complete
protection against intercept and jamming (military grade). A
detailed description of the Q-MAC HF-90 Frequency Hopping
Option, together with technical specifications, is provided on a
separate brochure.
Additional Q-MAC HF-90 Transceiver(s) - Although a single HF-90
Transceiver is provided with this package as standard, four
HF-90 Transceivers may be accommodated. Additional HF-90
Transceivers will be provided together with the appropriate fist
microphone.
